On May 1st Kasyn got sick, by the next morning he wasn't able to hold any fluids on his own. I have never seen him look so bad. My bubbly little baby boy was just laying on the floor and weakly crying. Long story short; we ended up at the hospital for 4 days and the Dr's Office and Urgent Care 4 more times after we were sent home. After all the tests they ran on my baby, we still have no answer as to WHAT made him so ill. Every test ran came back negative, and believe me there were many.
I think it was the hardest thing Kurt and I have ever been through. Kasyn is such a blessing to us. He's brought us closer as a family and really brings a smile to ANY ones face. His sweet little spirit shines through every smile he makes and just makes your heart melt. Seeing him stuck on an IV and how many times they'd stick him to draw blood was horrible. They literally would turn off the lights and shine a flash light through his arm to find the veins. I let Kurt go with him to the procedure room and I tried to rest my eyes. I was awakened to hearing Kasyn screaming down the hall. Not the biggest fan of Banner Desert. The Phoenix Children's Urgent care was WAY better. We're just so grateful that he's still here with us...
So being that Kasyn really had a bad 1st Birthday and Taytum was so misplaced that week. We decided to celebrate at Disneyland!!! We had a great time. It was so nice to Kasyn's face light up on the rides. We also took them to the beach, Taytum loved the waves and Kasyn loved the sand. Here are some of our pics!
