Our life lately..

Well everyone who knows Taytum knows that she is addicted to "ba-ba's". I know she's way too old to be having them as much as she does but what do you do when she's okay with starving? Anyways we've been working with her as much as we can to eat "Big Girl Food" but it doesn't always work.. The night this picture was taken Taytum was really tired and asking for a ba-ba, I told her she wasn't allowed to have a ba-ba till she ate her dinner. Next thing I know I look down to this.. And notice the barley touched food.

And this was just a cute pic of the little man. Kasyn turned 6 weeks this last Wednesday. He such a sweet cute boy, poor little guy had thrush pretty bad (you can see it on that pic of him yawning in a couple posts ago) but we're finally getting a handle on it. I also had my six week check up and it is true, it's harder to loose weight this 2nd time.. Oh well, it wouldn't hurt to try and work out a little.

Our fathers day was good but uneventful. We bought Kurt some new shoes and a new swim suit as his gifts and watched the race (Kasey Almost won!). We had breakfast with kurts parents. Then later in the day we went to my fathers for dinner. We did start planning our next Disneyland trip though.. I'm telling you we're addicted. Part of my Lactation Consultant program starts in October and for a weekend a month I'll have to go to San Diego till May. Maybe we'll get to go Disneyland a couple times soon!

My Calling In Life.. (Besides a mommy)

So, I LOVED being pregnant sooo much and I love the whole birthing process. So much so that I KNEW after this pregnancy I wanted to work with either pregnant women or New moms and Newborns.... Since I'm SO afraid of needles and blood medical assistant or nurse is out of the question. I also thought about being a doula, and as where that would be so wonderful, I don't know how many people looking for a natural child birth would want to hire a doula who has had epidurals with both deliveries. Then it came to me.. A Lactation Consultant.. After the experiences I've had with breast feeding, I would love to help other mothers with their Breastfeeding issues. And I would LOVE to work at a maternity ward! So if all goes as planned I begin class on June 30th and I'll be ready to practice by September next year! I'm so excited, it feels so great to whole heartedly feel this is the right decision for me and my family. I'll keep you all posted about my progress!

Our last week.

Sunday morning Kurt was sweet enough to let me sleep in.. This is what I woke up to.

Taytum was reading to Kasyn.

He really seemed to be paying attention to her.
SHe has been doing very well with him! ALWAYS wanting to help take care of him. We're so lucky to have such a sweet girl.

Awww, so sweet and peaceful. I could watch him all day! He sleeps quite a bit, he sure takes after his daddy (as I listen to Kurt snoring on the couch. What happened to that shower? Guess he's staying on the couch).

BIG YAWN!! Like all the milk on his tongue.

We went swimming today. Taytum looks so cute in her matching Ariel stuff. If only I could get her to smile for me! I always miss it with my slow camera! But she LOVES the water. Going to that bottom stair is quite exciting for her! It was kinda cold but she stayed in there for quite a while. Anyways, not too much else has gone on. Pretty much just normal life. Although I think I might have figured out what I'm going to do with my life but I'll post about that later. I need to do some cleaning before bed time!

AND MY MOTHER LEFT ME THIS WEEK! She has been back here from Minnesota for a month now to help me with the baby and Taytum. It's been so nice and I am so sad to see her leave! I really don't know what I'm gonna do with out her!

Kasyn's 4 wk photo shoot

Kathi came over and took some pics of Kasyn. I just thought I would share some! I can now finally do his announcements.. I am so lucky I have a friend who takes such good pics!!

Don't you love how she's REALLY grabbing his cheek!
